A good clean out of items that no longer gets used is both rewarding and helps you declutter your house. Just because it is not being used in your house does not mean it can't be used somewhere else! Here is a list of local places that accepts donations. 


  Check with your child's school some schools look for clothing donations for the nurse's office. 


Always check with each organization on specific details about their requirements, certain drop off hours, and items you are unsure of.


Brookside Thrift Shop

Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Location: 2013 Elm St, Manchester

Donations accepted:

Houseware, small appliances, house linens, clothing (all sizes), accessories, books, DVDs, CDS, baby gear, toys, tools, furniture

Things they cannot accept: 

Large appliances, computer equipment, big box televisions, animal cages, weapons, car parts


Goodwill

Hours: Sunday-Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Location: 165 John E Devine Dr, Manchester

Donations accepted:

Small appliances, books, houseware, clothes all sizes, computers, furniture, sports equipment, tools, toys, small exercise equipment, tvs (doesn’t accept CRTs)


Hand In Hand Senior Center

Location:  33 N Stark Hwy, Weare

Hours: Wednesday to Saturday 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Donations accepted:

clothing, housewares, craft supplies, small appliances, decorative items, jewelry, and much more


Liberty House 

Location: 221 Orange St, Manchester

Donation hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Donations needed: 

Food, clothing, gift cards, hygiene products


One Warm Coat

Donation hours: 

Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Friday 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Appointment is needed before drop off. 

Location: 50 Bridge St Ste 106, Manchester

Donations:

Coats in all sizes


Outfitters: A Thrift Store on a Mission - Families in Transition

Donation hours: Monday – Saturday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Location: 394 Second Street, Manchester

Donations accepted:

Clothing (all ages and sizes), houseware, electronics (do not accept CRT TVs), domestics, books, DVDs and CDs


Salvation Army

Hours: Sunday-Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Location: 121 Cedar St, Manchester

Donations accepted:

Clothing of all sizes, furniture, household items

Greatest need is: Large size adult coats and shoes 


Savers

Hours: 

Sunday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Monday-Saturday 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Location: 93 S Maple St, Manchester

Donations accepted:

Backpacks, purses, clothes, shoes, exercise, books, games, toys, housewares, small appliances, small furniture
