Cinnamon Ornaments

A holiday tradition

December 3, 2020

We began this little family tradition about 5 years ago.  It makes the house smell wonderful and kicks off the holiday celebrations for my family. I hope you have as much fun as we do!

3 Ingredient Cinnamon Ornaments

Supplies:

1 14 oz Bottle of Cinnamon

3/4 Cup of Apple Sauce

2 Tbsp of Glue

1 Small Mixing Bowl

Oven

Plastic Wrap

Rolling Pin

Cookie Cutters or a Cup

A Straw

Wire Rack

Cookie Sheet

Instructions:

1. Pre-heat oven for 200

2. In a mixing bowl combine 3/4 cup apple sauce, 1 entire 14 oz bottle of cinnamon, and 2 Tbsp of glue and mix.

3. Place saran wrap over your dough and roll out your cinnamon dough to about 1/3".

4. Remove wrap and start cooking cutting away!  If you don't have holiday shaped cutters, I used a glass for a few to make round holiday balls.

5. Use a straw to poke a hook or string hole on the top of the ornament.

6. Place cut shapes onto the wire rack then, the wire rack onto a cookie sheet.

7. Place in the oven at 2000  for about 2 hours to dry them out. (It sounds like a long time, but it makes your home smell amazing)

8. Once completely dry decorate with glitter, paint whatever you like!
